One clear rate for each way of working together. No tiers to decode and no seasonal sales. The Studio Series offers the lower rate for ongoing work.

Your first lesson
The first lesson stands on its own. You come with your questions, we work on one clear priority, and you leave with a concrete next step you can use the same day. If you want to continue afterwards, you can book single lessons or move into the Studio Series. There is no obligation to book again.
Lessons across time zones
Lessons are available approximately 08:00–21:00 Basel time (CET/CEST). If you are in North America or another distant time zone and cannot find a workable slot, write to me. Additional times may be possible by arrangement.
Rescheduling and cancellation
You may reschedule or cancel free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice; cancellations within 24 hours, and no-shows, are charged in full and count as used. Full terms are on the cancellation and rescheduling policy page.
What you are paying for
You are working one to one with a violin teacher who holds an MA in music pedagogy from the University of Music Basel / FHNW and performs internationally with major European ensembles. Every lesson is fully prepared, and built around the one change that will move your playing furthest. Fifty minutes, on your playing.
Why €150 for a single lesson?
A group lesson at a music school is €30–60 for 45 minutes with several students in the room. Here it is fifty minutes of undivided attention from a working concert artist, who can hear what is actually happening in your sound and name it precisely. Most people find that a single lesson resolves something they had been circling for a long time. The first lesson is €120 so you can test that for yourself, and the Studio Series brings the per-lesson rate to €118.75.
Is the Studio Series a subscription?
No. It is eight lessons paid once, valid for 12 months, with flexible scheduling and no automatic renewal.
Do you offer discounts?
No seasonal discounts. The Studio Series is the only standing saving: €950 for eight lessons, €250 less than eight single lessons. Studio Notes subscribers receive 20% off their first lesson (€96); you can sign up in the footer of any page.
