Coming back as an adult brings different ears to the instrument. We work from what is still there and from the player you are now. The return becomes its own chapter rather than an attempt to recreate the past.

You may already play confidently and still feel that some questions keep returning. We work where technique and musical intention stop feeling connected, then find a clearer way into the problem.

1st Prize · 13th International Telemann Competition, 2025
I trained in Vienna and Basel, and I hold two master's degrees: one in performance from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, and one in music pedagogy from the University of Music Basel / FHNW, completed with a supervised teaching practicum at the Musik-Akademie Basel. As a recipient of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship, my artistic work was recognised with a portrait film.
Alongside my teaching, I perform regularly with leading period-instrument ensembles across Europe, including work as concertmaster and soloist.
My approach begins with awareness. When technique and historical understanding grow together, the instrument can start to feel less like something you manage and more like something you inhabit.
Léna sent written preparation materials before our sessions and met me exactly where I was. The expressiveness of her own playing inspired me extraordinarily. I am convinced that through her knowledge of historically informed performance and her warm, empathetic nature, she can bring the art of violin playing – and the joy of music – to people of all ages and levels.
